Hindi film ‘Fukrey Returns’ earns Rs 0.08 crore box office collection on day 34

Bollywood movie ‘Fukrey Returns’ earned Rs 0.08 crore on 34th day of its release. Witnessing poor occupancy in the cinema halls, the Hindi movie faced massive drop in the overall earnings. Featuring Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadda in leading roles, the comedy film collected Rs 80.13 crore in one month.

Starting the box office journey on a higher note, the family entertainer raked in Rs 8.10 crore on opening day. Witnessing growth in the public response on following day, the Hindi movie registered a business of Rs 11.30 crore on 2nd day of its release. Amassing Rs 19.40 crore in two days, the film faced consistent improvement in its earnings on next day and collected Rs 12.80 crore income on 3rd day.

After grossing Rs 32.20 crore total earnings in first weekend, the Bollywood movie witnessed consistent decline in the theatre occupancy in week days. The comedy movie collected Rs 5.10 crore on 4th day, Rs 5.05 crore on 5th day, Rs 4.30 crore on 6th day and Rs 3.90 crore on 7th day. By the end of first week, the film totalled Rs 50.75 crore business at India’s box office.

Entering Rs 50 crore club within a week, the Hindi movie showcased exceptional performance on Indian box office. In 2nd weekend, the movie garnered Rs 15.56 crore total box office income. Continuing the box office journey with gaining steady response from the spectators, the second installment of ‘Fukrey’ earned Rs 3.31 crore on 8th day, Rs 5.15 crore on 9th day and Rs 7.10 crore on tenth day of release.

Generating a total revenue of Rs 66.31 crore in ten days, the movie created a new record at box office and became one of the highest grossing films of year 2017. Maintaining consistency in the performance, the Hindi movie earned Rs 23.26 crore in 2nd week. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s directorial venture collected Rs 2.25 crore on 11th day, Rs 2.10 crore on 12th day, Rs 1.75 crore on 13th day and Rs 1.60 crore on 14th day of release.

After earning a total monetary profit of Rs 77.01 crore in two weeks, the Hindi movie witnessed immense declination in the public response. The drastic drop in theatre occupancy impacted the film’s business. In third week, the movie witnessed 10-15% occupancy in the cinema halls and amassed Rs 3.79 crore in third week.

Receiving very low response from the film-watchers, the 2nd part of ‘Fukrey’ movie minted Rs 0.5 crore in fourth week. Apart from earning a surprising income in India, the Bollywood movie exhibited admirable performance in overseas. Catching the attention of average number of audiences from foreign countries, the film earned Rs 2.52 crore in North America, Rs 0.52 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 0.52 crore in Australia, Rs 0.28 crore in New Zealand and Rs 0.0092 crore in Malaysia. ‘Fukrey Returns’ bagged Rs 106.58 crore total worldwide income in 34 days.
