‘Simran’ movie earns Rs 15.48 crore in one week

Kangana Ranaut starrer latest Bollywood movie ‘Sirman’ minted Rs 15.48 crore total box office collection in one week. The Hindi movie grossed an average business in the opening weekend. In week days, public response for the movie didn’t continue to remain constant. Directed by popular filmmaker Hansal Mehta, the latest Hindi film witnessed gradual decline in the theatre occupancy after the first weekend.

Releasing on about 1500 screens, the Hindi movie started its box office journey on dull note. Witnessing 30-40% occupancy, the Bollywood movie earned Rs 2.77 crore income on first day. Facing an increase in the audiences’ response, the film raked in Rs 3.76 crore on 2nd day of its release. Witnessing further growth in the overall collection, the movie minted Rs 4.12 crore on 3rd day.

After bagging Rs 10.65 crore in initial three days, the film reported a gradual drop in the earnings in week days. On 4th day of release, the Hindi movie garnered Rs 1.41 crore. With further declination in the overall collection, the film earned Rs 1.25 crore on 5th day of its release. Public response for the film consistently dropped on following day and the film collected Rs 1.16 crore on 6th day.

At the end of first week, the Bollywood movie didn’t perform well on Indian box office and registered a business of Rs 1.01 crore on 7th day of its release. The Hindi film failed make a huge business in the international market as it witnessed box office clash with newly released Hollywood movies in the foreign countries.
