Hitting screens on 29th December 2017, latest Telugu movie ‘2 Countries’ kicked off the box office journey on a decent note. Facing low occupancy in the morning shows on opening day, the movie witnessed poor public response in the cinema halls and earned Rs 0.01 crore on first day. Receiving mixed reviews from the critics, the newly released Tollywood movie showcased decent performance at box office on opening day.
Receiving poor response from movie-watchers in morning shows, famous Tollywood actor Sunil and Manisha Raj starrer new film witnessed steady occupancy in the noon shows. Screened in several multiplexes located in various cities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Telugu language film attracted less number of audiences in theatres.
The theatre occupancy did not surge in the evening shows. Public response dropped drastically in the night shows. Produced and directed by popular filmmaker N Shankar, the new Tollywood movie could not succeed in driving the attention of huge audience on day 1. Many trade analysts criticized the movie over its poor cinematography.
The movie witnessed about 1-2% occupancy in the night shows and could not earn huge monetary profit on first day of its release in India. The south Indian movie also failed to perform well in the international market and bagged decent earnings at worldwide box office. Latest box office figures are awaited.
