Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer newly released Tollywood movie ‘Jai Simha’ amassed Rs 45.3 crore worldwide box office collection in 10 days. Releasing on a large number of screens in south Indian states, the Telugu language film earned Rs 20.2 crore total income at Andhra Box office.
Exhibiting satisfactory performance in Telugu speaking regions, the latest south Indian movie received highest response from audiences in the first weekend. Facing massive theatre occupancy in the cinema halls situated in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and nearby Telugu speaking states, the action film collected a total income of Rs 35.2 crore in 10 days.
Directed by K S Ravikumar, the action drama film witnessed moderate occupancy in the theatres located in Ceded. The south Indian movie received average response from the film-watchers dwelling in that region and recorded a business of Rs 7.3 crore in ten days.
Performing comparatively better in the cinema halls situated at Nizam, the action movie witnessed highest theatre occupancy. Managing to catch the attention of a good number of moviegoers in the theatres and multiplexes located there, C Kalyan’s latest Telugu production minted Rs 7.7 crore overall income in 10 days.
Apart from attracting of a huge number of movie-watchers in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other Telugu speaking states, ‘Jai Simha’ movie managed to impress the public spectators in Karnataka. Receiving a satisfactory response from the audiences in Kannada speaking state, the action drama film garnered Rs 4.0 crore total income in ten days.
After bagging average income in the domestic arena, Nayanthara starrer latest south Indian movie exhibited appreciable performance in the overseas. Attracting a huge number of cinema-watchers in the multiplexes located in United States of America, the Telugu language movie registered a business of Rs 1.4 crore in 10 days.
Taking a moderate start to the journey at worldwide box office, Natasha Doshi and Hariprriya starrer newly released Telugu film earned US$ 108,980 through the previews. The action film pocketed US$ 28,526 box office collection on first day of its release in US. Experiencing slight growth in the overall occupancy, ‘Jai Simha’ raked in an income of US$ 31,678 on 2nd day.
Grossing a humongous collection of US$ 1,913,265 in 2 days, the Tollywood film witnessed steady occupancy in the cinema halls on 3rd day of its release. Releasing on limited number of screens in other countries in the world, the multi-starrer south Indian film minted Rs 2.8 crore box office collection in the international market.
